Franklin Boulevard

The Region’s preferred design for Franklin Boulevard between Avenue Road and Bishop Street includes roundabouts at Saginaw Parkway and Can-Amera Parkway.

At Saginaw, it includes a pedestrian underpass on the north side of the intersection, addressing the crossing concerns for St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School students. The other three legs would have crossings at road level.

The Region’s 2026 budget forecasts $26.3 million for this stretch, with most spending in 2027 and 2028. This is a budget forecast, not a confirmed construction schedule.

Saginaw Parkway and Green Vista Drive

The City’s 2026 approved budget includes $884,000 for a roundabout at Saginaw Parkway and Green Vista Drive. The budget says the Region will lead construction.

The schedule should be dated so residents can see which version they are reading. The Region sets the timeline for its work. A councillor can ask for clear information and bring the request to council.
